This year, Warema is taking the first step with its modular window awning programme. This range is so easy to combine that it enables the right solution to be found for almost any application. Special feature: from April 2019, it will include the new one-piece guide rail that is used for the guide systems easyZIP, rail and markisolette. The guide rails are identical in construction, and can be used for various mounting situations and construction sizes. This gives architects the maximum planning freedom. With the guide rail as a spacer, there is no need to choose the guide rail until the product is ordered, since one of two clip profiles can be used. Putting an end to what was a laborious planning process.

Faster, safer and more stable
This new flexibility comes courtesy of the easyZIP technology, which now replaces the ZIP technology previously used by Warema. It also prevents irritating light gaps, and creates a flowing transition to the façade. All the usual specifications have been taken or extended for easyZIP. The functional safety of the window awning is increased thanks to the easy installation by means of a clip profile. It results in an even, taut look to the curtain and reduces friction in the guide system. At the same time, the time for installation is greatly reduced whilst increasing installation safety. There is also a further marked increase in wind stability. When lowered, front-mounted awnings measuring a maximum of three by three metres and with easyZIP guidance can withstand wind speeds of up to 150 km/h.

What is new is the easyZIP guide rail for full plastering, which appeals for its low dimensions. The easyZIP guidance will be used in the new product line of front-mounted window awnings. This system replace the existing window awnings with ZIP guidance. There is a choice of three cover panel shapes: rectangular, half-round and round.

Now also available: top-mounted awning with easyZIP guidance for new buildings
One innovation that opens up lots of other opportunities for architects is the top-mounted awning NA-MA for new buildings. This means that along with roller shutters and external venetian blinds, Warema now offers yet another sun shading solution with easyZIP guidance. NA-MA meets the trend for top-mounted solutions for new buildings, and can be used as a complete system by window manufacturers.

Much easier planning with window system awning FSM
The new window system awning FSM for inclusion in thermal insulation systems integrates perfectly thanks to the variable front and back edgings of the cover panels. Cover panel and guide rail can be fully plastered to create a harmonious look. And thanks to a cover panel option with the various guides – easyZIP, rail markisolette, cable and drop arm – planning is much easier.

Individual features
Additional features open up new possibilities for window awnings. VisioNeo fall protection can be combined with the new window awning with easyZIP guidance. Warema also has something new for the area of safety and the second emergency route: the new front-mounted awning with easyZIP guidance uses smart SecuKit technology. From April 2019, Warema will also be used its new bonding system UltraSeam™ for acrylic fabrics on window awnings. Rather than being placed on top of each other, the fabric panels are abutted for improved winding behaviour and a uniform look. This means that much higher curtain heights can be achieved when working longitudinally.

The opening for the launch of the new window awning programme is spring 2019. The next stage, in 2020, will bring modular solutions for other installation situations – easy to combine and just as versatile.
