News: functionality boost for windows and facades Warema continues to develop its versatile product solutions
Warema is expanding the functionality of its sun shading solutions for windows and facades by optimising a large number of its products. This brings great advantages for specialised retailers, as installation is much easier and faster than before. Users also benefit from these numerous advancements, which increase comfort and convenience.
New XS box depth
Warema is expanding its range of boxes to include different shaft depths. External venetian blind window systems with rectangular cover panels are now also available in the new XS box depth of just 120 millimetres. The cover panel depth has been reduced by about ten percent compared to other models. The lower installation depth is ideal for very thin wall constructions or recesses, such as clinker brick facades, minimised insulation thicknesses and timber frame constructions, and significantly reduces the number of thermal bridges. The box seamlessly blends into the facade for a great look.
Shaft roller shutters
Thanks to their high degree of pre-assembly, Warema’s new shaft roller shutters are faster and easier to install, making them suitable for qualified, but less experienced, technicians – a clear advantage when skilled workers are in short supply. The push-fit system is suitable for all common shaft sizes and can be installed in one go without the need for adjustments such as cutting the shaft before on-site installation. This also means fewer complaints and a simplified order process – with no need to order individual parts, details of the box or installation situation are no longer required. With this new element, Warema is now offering a comparable solution for installing shafts for roller shutters, window awnings and external venetian blinds.
Reinforced NA-RO box
Warema's top-mounted roller shutters for new buildings (NA-RO) have been optimised further. A new, more finely-meshed basket makes the box extremely torsion-resistant, as proven in extensive test series. This facilitates both handling and installation, particularly in wide buildings. Made from durable polystyrene, the box offers good sound insulation and its special honeycomb structure ensures optimum plaster adhesion. The reinforced box will be available as standard from mid-2020 in all box sizes and types.
Sound-optimised box for top-mounted external venetian blinds for new buildings
As increased traffic leads to increased noise, sound insulation is gaining in importance for urban construction projects. Warema’s sound-optimised box for top-mounted external venetian blinds for new buildings guarantees significant improvements in noise insulation. The new box construction with its innovative, patent-pending insulation noticeably reduces external noise levels. This solution – which is to become standard in the future – meets increased sound insulation requirements and enables users to relax at home and work in peace.
Black-out systems with easyZIP
Warema is converting its black-out systems to easyZIP. Operational safety is increased through the use of clip profiles, which can also be used with the external window awning range. This also makes installation much faster. The new, low end rail is slimmer and can also be used at low installation heights. Black-out systems can be used in laboratories, lecture halls, conference rooms and even in private home cinemas, for example. The new technology is suitable for all of these areas, preventing annoying light gaps and ensuring that the fabric is evenly taut.
Front-mounted awnings with pet screen
Awning fabric isn’t always the best choice – after all, sometimes the sun isn't the problem. Tiny, uninvited guests can cause a real nuisance in our homes. For this reason, Warema is now also offering front-mounted awnings with pet screens. This solution combines good ventilation, wind protection and visibility while also keeping insects out. The new, stable fabric meets construction limit values of up to six metres in width and three metres in height. This means it can also be used for floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony doors and open seating areas under balconies. A brush seal on the end rail ensures it is tightly fitted against the floor or window sill. In addition to front-mounted awnings, Warema offers pet screen solutions for slat roofs, patio roofs and pergola awnings.
