More and more people are suffering from allergies. According to a health study by the Robert Koch Institute, 30 percent of Germans aged 18 to 79 develop an allergy in the course of their lives. One common cause of increased allergies is environmental pollution and the resulting fine dust pollution, which affect the bronchial system. However, there is a solution. Warema VisionAir pollen protection and fine dust gauzes ensure fresh air in all rooms to effectively boost well-being.

Many customers who visit specialist dealers to ask about sun shading systems aren't even aware of the additional products available. The best way to find out what a customer needs and to explain the entire portfolio of windows and doors is to talk to them face to face. Insect screens and pollen protection are a central issue in rural areas, while people in urban areas are also interested in protecting against fine dust. Demand is constantly increasing for such solutions. Warema offers individual solutions, many of which can easily be retrofitted. Whether for windows, balcony/terrace doors or for light wells, Warema has the product for the job – including fixed, rotating and sash frames, swinging doors, roller blinds and pleated blinds as well as roller shutters and external venetian blinds with integrated insect screens. These tailor-made solutions are also available in large sizes and can be perfectly integrated into a customer's architecture through frames in all shades of Warema colours.

Air permeability and light transmission tested in the laboratory
Customers interested in reliable insect screens and pollen protection often express doubts as well. Some fear limited air circulation or a strong reduction in the incidence of light. For this reason, Warema has had all of its products tested and can provide proof of the effectiveness and positive properties of the gauzes. The Warema VisionAir gauze, for instance, reliably protects against insects while offering air permeability of 19,133 l/m²/s. The Warema VisionAir pollen protection gauze scores particularly well when it comes to light transmission. It keeps 86 percent of pollen at bay and, thanks to its thin but robust threads, provides 77 percent light transmission. It is almost invisible to the eye and does not impair the view of the outside.

Around 75 percent less fine dust
Increasing fine dust pollution is another topic of particular concern to customers in urban areas. According to the World Health Organization, up to 85 percent of all city dwellers in Europe are exposed to excessive fine dust levels. This can lead to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. The situation can be greatly improved with suitable gauzes. With a particularly fine mesh structure, the Warema VisionAir fine dust gauze performed extremely well in the fine dust laboratory test, enabling pollen retention of 93 percent and fine dust retention of 75 percent. This keeps around three quarters of the smallest particles outside the building, even on busy streets in city centres.

All three fabrics are highly transparent for a clear view and perfect incidence of light. Annoying insects can't get in and the appropriate gauze can increase the quality of breathing air significantly. Thanks to Warema's various VisionAir gauzes, allergy sufferers can regularly let fresh air into their homes.
