The Warema Group is expanding to include another brand. Subject to approval from competition authorities, the corporate group from Lower Franconia will retroactively acquire Anwis Sp. z.o.o., a Polish sun shading product manufacturer, as of 1st January 2019. Anwis Sp. z.o.o. is a company that manufactures external and internal sun shading products, with a strong focus on the Polish and Eastern European market.

It has been working in the sun shading market since 1979 and therefore boasts over 40 years of experience in the industry. The company headquarters are located in Włocławek, Poland. In 2018, the company generated 32.6 million euros in sales and currently employs nearly 470 people.

“The acquisition of Anwis is part of our internationalisation strategy,” says Angelique Renkhoff-Mücke, CEO of Warema Renkhoff SE. “Anwis will be integrated into the Warema Group as an independent company in the Sun & Living Spaces sector and will remain an independent brand that strengthens the market position in Eastern Europe.” This ultimately means that Warema and Anwis will be run separately and independently of one another. There is no plan to include Anwis products in the Warema portfolio or, conversely, to market Warema products through Anwis. The companies’ production will also remain independent of one another.

With this acquisition, the Warema Group now markets four other brands in the Sun & Living Spaces sector, in addition to the core Warema brand: Caravita, Exterra, Wings Professional and Anwis. The services in the diverse portfolio range from sun and weather protection to living space design.
