In addition to handheld and wall-mounted transmitters, Warema's WMS WebControl pro allows the system to be controlled via an app, for even greater functionality and ease of use. With WMS WebControl pro, users carry their smart home with them wherever they go. The new iOS and Android app enables simple and intuitive control of the sun shading system and light via tablet or smartphone. WMS WebControl pro provides direct access to your smart sun shading system, no matter where you are: from the comfort of your home, in the office, in your garden or on holiday. A storm starts brewing unexpectedly? Simply retract the awnings with a touch of your finger. Are the roller shutters closed in front of the patio door? Take a quick look at the app. Want to make it look like somebody’s home in the evening? Just switch on the light and close the roller shutters.

Data is transmitted via a cloud maintained in Marktheidenfeld, Warema's headquarters. The app was developed with a modern design and clearly arranged tiles. It quickly shows the current position of the sun shading system and the slat angle of external venetian blinds. The Plus X Award jury were also impressed by the user-friendly system, presenting WMS WebControl pro with the prestigious award for 'design, operating comfort and functionality' in 2020.

WMS has numerous functions that make manual control practically unnecessary, such as a time switch, user-friendly control modes and an astro function that controls the sun shading system at dawn and dusk without additional sensors. The system can also be controlled using smart speakers such as Amazon Echo – "Alexa, retract the awning". Occupants can change the settings themselves without assistance from specialist partners. An optimised tablet app allows the contents to be displayed in landscape format and also makes WMS WebControl pro suitable for wall-mounted screens.
