Climara W25 mounted on a skylight Warema introduces the Climara W25, featuring precise fabric guidance with NexDrive technology
Shading large horizontal or inclined glass surfaces presents a particular design and technical challenge – both in residential buildings and in commercial and project environments. With the Climara W25, Warema introduces a new generation of over-glass and conservatory awnings. The system has been specifically developed for textile shading of patio roofs, panoramic windows and skylights, combining a clear architectural design with advanced fabric guidance based on the new NexDrive technology.
Precise shading for modern glass architecture
Large window elements, expansive glazed surfaces and modern patio roofs that seamlessly extend the living space are defining features of contemporary architecture. As a result, the demands on high-performance external sun shading continue to grow – particularly as summers become increasingly hot. With the Climara W25, Warema offers a solution that meets both aesthetic and functional requirements. With its linear guide rails and two available cover panel shapes – cubic or oval – the over-glass awning integrates seamlessly into the architecture. The refined, high-quality design minimises visible technical components and screw connections, supporting a harmonious overall look. A wide choice of powder-coated finishes from the WAREMA colour world offers added design flexibility – with three surface options: matt, fine-textured and even a highly weather-resistant finish. A wide range of colours and fabric qualities is available for the covering, including acrylic and Twilight Pearl. Generous maximum order dimensions of up to 600 cm in both width and projection – covering areas of up to 30 m² – offer a high degree of flexibility.
New NexDrive technology – precise fabric guidance with no light gaps
The integrated NexDrive technology builds on the proven easyZIP mechanism and has been specifically refined for the Climara W25. It guides the fabric precisely within the guide rails, maintaining a clean, defined line. This eliminates any light gap between the fabric and the guide rail, while also meeting high wind-resistance requirements. The laterally guided drive mechanism ensures a stable, taut fabric even across large widths. The intelligent back-pull principle of the new Climara supports good fabric tension and reliable performance – both visually and functionally.
The intelligent design simplifies installation while also making maintenance easier: the guide rail can be accessed via the familiar clip profile, the cover panel opens upwards, and both the fabric and motor can be replaced with ease. “With NexDrive technology, the Climara W25 combines functional requirements with seamless architectural integration, offering attractive design options for shading modern glass surfaces,” explains Manuel Peter, Head of Outdoor Living at WAREMA. The over-glass awning with NexDrive technology expands Warema's well-established Climara portfolio.
Automation and comfort with WMS sensor systems
For added comfort, the Climara W25 can be operated via the WMS radio system using a hand-held transmitter, wall-mounted transmitter, tablet or smartphone. An optional WMS sensor sits flush on the guide rail and monitors wind, light and precipitation. Based on these measuring values, it controls the awning automatically and reliably protects the system from weather conditions. At the same time, the control mode improves the indoor climate and supports energy-efficient use. In addition, the sensor provides light and precipitation data for other control functions within the WMS system.
