With the Warema Mobility System (WMS) UP splitter and the Warema WMS UP climatronic® converter, a single weather station on the roof can be used to automate the WMS wireless networks of all units in a building or complex. This reduces costs, improves the look of the facade and simplifies installation and maintenance.
One weather station for all WMS networks in a building
In a smart home, automated sun shading systems are the most convenient way to achieve a pleasant room climate and make the best possible use of daylight. A weather station transmits weather data to multiple WMS networks so that external venetian blinds, roller shutters and awnings move to the desired position at the right time. Previously, every apartment in a building needed its own sensor; now, all it takes is a single weather station on the roof.
The WMS splitters for the individual apartments receive data on temperature, precipitation, wind and brightness and transfer this weather data to the encrypted WMS networks. Each occupant can determine the settings for their network independent of their neighbours.
Occupants can also operate the sun shading system individually via smartphone with WMS WebControl pro or use a WMS handheld or wall-mounted transmitter.
From cable to wireless network
The innovative Warema WMS UP climatronic® converter with WMS wireless expansion is suitable for large private homes and commercial buildings. It translates the control commands from the wired Warema climatronic® bus system into signals for the WMS wireless receivers in the individual units. This allows automatic systems and safety functions to be controlled and managed centrally, as well as enabling the use of decentralised networks with individual functionality. Central configuration also has the advantage of standardising the look of the facade and reducing maintenance costs for facility management teams. Functions can be managed centrally, and occupants can also configure their own networks to suit their needs.
This solution allows new buildings to be planned much more flexibly; it is often not clear how individual rooms will later be used, or they may need to be altered for a new user. It also enables buildings to be modernised without excessive costs – only one riser needs to be fitted and individual wireless solutions are used in the apartments. If a Warema climatronic® system is already in place, then retrofitting is easy; the decentralised wireless network can simply be expanded.
